I have many photos from the municipality of Much—not only because I live here, but because it is beautiful here. On walks, I keep discovering new subjects or seeing familiar things in a different light.

A Tree Near Sommerhausen

A good example is the old, solitary tree near Sommerhausen. It would be the ideal subject for a calendar covering all the seasons. I don’t know how many photos I have already taken of it; it would be worth giving it a page of its own.

Through the Bergisches Land with a Camera

The landscape around Much is varied: gentle hills, small streams, rivers, and forests alternate. Much is well worth a visit for people from the Bergisches Land, Cologne, Bonn, Siegburg, and the surrounding area. Guests also come from further afield to discover the municipality.

The photos were taken on walks between Christmas and New Year. I used a Fujifilm X100F—a small, compact companion for days out when I don’t want to carry anything large or heavy.
